Venetian Gold marble tells the story of the Renaissance

Venetian Gold marble played a central role in the renovation of Palazzo Calzaiuoli, a historic 19th-century building in the heart of Florence, once known as a hub of the city’s social life. Between 2017 and 2018, the palace underwent a complete restoration and reconfiguration, transforming into eleven luxury residences of varying sizes.

Designed by Arcabi Associates and Passaleva Associati, the collaboration with Venetian Gold involved the entrance, staircase, and service areas of the B&B Hotel Corte Calzaiuoli. The five floors of the palace were reimagined to combine classicism with innovation, ensuring both elegance and functionality.

Lines and aesthetics come to life with local materials such as Bardiglio, the famous and timeless Bianco Carrara, and more sought-after marbles like Emperador Light and Spain’s Nero Marquina, the exclusive Verde Picasso from Iran, Friuli’s Grigio Carnico, and Botticino from the Brescia region.

Timeless Elegance in the Heart of Florence

This extraordinary renovation arises from a harmonious dialogue with the building’s history and the urban context, enhancing the architectural heritage while integrating modern solutions. Elegance and exclusivity merge to create luxury interiors without compromise. For those seeking to experience the unique charm of Florence, immersing themselves in its artistic and cultural wonders, the renovation of Palazzo Calzaiuoli represents one of the city’s most captivating transformations. Venetian Gold marble, with its timeless beauty, helps make these spaces a symbol of sophistication and prestige.
