Heliodoro is a natural calcareous-sedimentary stone quarried in the limestone basins of France. It takes its name from the typical golden solar hues, which recall the warm color of the sun. Visually, it has a soft, bright and homogeneous background that ranges from golden yellow to warm beige, up to cream and light ochre. Its surface is characterized by a fine and natural texture, sometimes embellished with light veins, chromatic nuances and minute fossil footprints typical of French limestone sedimentation. This organogenic rock, formed through the slow deposition of mineral fragments and small marine organisms, gives environments an enveloping, classic and timeless atmosphere. Its uniform structure and tactile materiality make it a material of great value for interior architecture, perfect for those seeking a sober elegance but with a strong decorative character. The warm native brightness embellishes each surface with a sophisticated and extremely natural charm.
Geologically it is an organogenic sedimentary rock (bioclastic limestone) mainly composed of calcite. Being a limestone, it has a porous structure, a pleasant visual softness and a warm, natural tactile sensation. As with all limestone, it is chemically sensitive to acidic substances (lemon, vinegar, wine) and requires hydro/oil-repellent treatments when used in stain-prone environments. It offers excellent workability for sanded, brushed, sandblasted or bocciardate finishes.

Custom architectural elements: widely used for the creation of period fireplace surrounds, portals, columns, thresholds, sills and window frames.
