Giallo San Rafael is a fine and elegant natural granite quarried in the well-known mining regions of Brazil. Appreciated in interior architecture for its combination of warm hues and structural strength, it offers a balanced solar surface.
Visually, it has a luminous background ranging from creamy yellow to golden beige, crossed by a fluid movement of shades, veins and specks in shades of brown, hazelnut, quartz grey and black. The medium and balanced texture gives the plates great three-dimensionality and visual softness, without excessive disordered chromatic breaks.
Geologically, it is an intrusive igneous rock with a granitic composition, formed by the slow cooling of magmas at high depths. Its silicate matrix makes it chemically inert and completely immune to the attack of food acids (vinegar, lemon, wine). It has almost no porosity, very low water absorption and excellent resistance to abrasion, scratches, heat, frost and UV rays.
