Atlantis Yellow is a fine natural marble quarried in Morocco’s rich quarries. Famous for its striking solar chromatic note and extraordinary elegance, it is a stone that has always been associated with the warmth and material charm of Mediterranean and North African architecture.
Visually, it is characterized by a dense, warm and enveloping background that ranges from golden yellow to amber and intense beige, crossed by a fine intertwining of veins and nuances in the tones of ochre, hazelnut and sienna. Its crystalline structure gives the surface a natural brilliance, creating an aesthetic that is homogeneous and at the same time rich in depth.
Geologically it is a recrystallized limestone rock (calcitic marble). Its predominantly calcium carbonate composite nature makes it sensitive to attack by food acids and aggressive chemists, which can affect its surface finish. It has a decent mechanical resistance and an extraordinary aptitude for mirror polishing, matte sanding and “silk” effect brushing.
