Amendoa is a fine and elegant natural granite quarried in Brazil’s renowned mining regions, renowned worldwide for the quality and variety of their stone materials. The stone takes its name from its characteristic colour, strongly inspired by the warm, enveloping shades of almond.
Visually, it stands out for a refined and luminous aesthetic, defined by a warm color palette. The background ranges from golden cream to straw beige and pale yellow, embellished with a dense and balanced texture of speckles, small veins and mineral nodules in shades of brown, quartz grey and light rust. The smooth and harmonious distribution of its mineral components avoids excessive contrasts, giving surfaces a deep, natural and highly organic appearance, perfect for elegantly enriching contemporary and classical environments.
Geologically, it is an intrusive igneous rock with a granitic composition, formed by the slow cooling of magmas at high depths. Its predominantly silicate matrix makes it chemically inert and totally immune to the aggression of food acids. It has almost zero porosity, minimal water absorption and extraordinary resistance to abrasion, frost, UV rays and high-traffic mechanical stresses, ensuring excellent and unalterable durability over time both in indoor spaces and in severe outdoor applications.
