Turkish White Snow represents the mineral excellence of Turkey’s mining districts, with particular reference to the renowned areas of Muğla and Afyon, territories with a thousand-year geological history. This marble rises as an icon of purity thanks to an “optical” and ultra-brilliant white background, whose brightness evokes the pristine purity of the high-altitude snow expanses kissed by the zenithal sun.
Unlike many other white marble varieties on the market, which often betray latent shades tending towards ash grey or ivory yellowish, Turkish White Snow jealously preserves an extremely cool, crisp and clean colour whiteness. This feature is made possible by a peculiar saccharoid-type crystalline structure, composed of microcrystals of very pure calcite that act as myriads of small natural prisms. This morphological configuration gives the stone an almost prodigious reflective capacity, allowing it to capture, multiply and diffuse ambient light in every corner of the surrounding environment.
From a technical point of view, this marble is known for its remarkable compactness. It has a very high compressive strength (about 1400-1450 kg/cm²) and an extremely low water absorption rate (0.23%), values that make it more robust than many other European white marbles. These properties make it suitable not only for interior coatings, but also for more stressed applications. Its fine grain allows for an almost vitreous “mirror” polish, which enhances the depth of the white and the brilliance of its natural microcrystals.
