White Rhino is a dolomitic marble of extraordinary rarity and beauty, quarried exclusively in the remote and fascinating quarries of Namibia in southwest Africa. This natural stone represents one of the most exclusive and sought-after options in the global luxury market, capable of competing with Europe’s noblest whites thanks to its unique geological character.
Aesthetically, it has an incredibly pure, homogeneous and compact snow white or milky white background. Its surface is furrowed by extremely thin, almost ethereal veins, which fade into shades of very light grey, cream or golden beige. The peculiarity that makes it magical is its crystalline structure: White Rhino possesses a surprising natural translucency, which allows light to penetrate the first millimeters of the stone, giving the slabs a vitreous depth and an almost velvety appearance.
Technically, being a dolomite, White Rhino boasts a higher density and compactness than traditional limestone marbles (with a hardness of about 3.5-4 on the Mohs scale). This mineral composition results in extremely low porosity, ensuring a very high-performance resistance to liquid absorption and an ease of maintenance that is highly appreciated by designers. Its very fine grain allows to obtain a mirror polish of the highest level, capable of reflecting ambient light in a radiant way. As a material mined in limited quantities in a remote region of the Namibian Desert, each slab is considered a rare piece of luxury, a fragment of African geology intended for projects where light, formal purity, and exclusivity are the cornerstones.
