Technical characteristics of Quarzite Cristallo

Technically, Quarzite Cristallo is one of the best-performing materials available in nature due to its extreme hardness reaching level 7 on the Mohs scale, clearly surpassing both marble and granite. Being composed almost entirely of silica, it is a stone totally resistant to food acids, which means that it does not suffer corrosion or loss of shine upon contact with substances such as lemon or vinegar. Its crystalline structure is incredibly compact and has almost non-existent porosity, ensuring extremely high resistance to stains and scratches even under intensive use conditions. The glossy finish is the one that most enhances its transparency and natural brilliance, while the satin or brushed version offers a tactile sensation similar to polished ice, maintaining the preciousness of the color intact but attenuating the direct reflections of the light.
