Technical characteristics of Onyx White Classico

From a technical perspective, Onyx White Classico is a chemically formed calcareous alabaster with a microcrystalline structure that gives it a warm, deep translucency. It has a hardness of approximately 3 on the Mohs scale, classifying it as a soft and delicate material, sensitive to food acids and surface scratches. Its porosity is extremely low, allowing for a flawless mirror polish that enhances the brilliance of the white. Although it requires careful maintenance and specific protective treatments, its colour stability and consistent grain make it one of the most reliable onyx marbles for large-scale projects where aesthetic consistency between slabs is essential.
