New Bianco Romano is a Brazilian granite of extraordinary popularity and versatility, the successor to the classic Bianco Romano but characterised by an even brighter and more defined colour palette. Aesthetically, it features an ice-white or very light cream background, enriched by a dynamic texture of pearl-grey minerals and small inclusions of translucent quartz.
Its distinctive hallmark is the presence of characteristic “dots” or small burgundy or burnt-brown crystals, which dot the surface like drops of wine, lending the stone a unique organic warmth. Unlike monochromatic granites, this material offers a fluid yet never chaotic visual movement, capable of adapting naturally to both country-chic kitchens and ultra-modern spaces. It is the ideal material for those seeking the brightness of white marble but who do not wish to compromise on the robustness of granite, creating welcoming, vibrant and deeply homely spaces.
From a technical perspective, New Bianco Romano is an exceptionally hard material, with a hardness of approximately 6–7 on the Mohs scale. Its structure is extremely dense and resistant to thermal shock, scratches and food acids, making it one of the best-performing natural stones for everyday use. Although highly durable, the clarity of the stone benefits from a good protective treatment to maintain the brilliance of the whites and prevent the absorption of pigmented liquids.
