Ceara is a material of pragmatic and luminous elegance, characterized by a very light grayish white or cream background, uniformly dotted with tiny crystals of quartz, feldspar and biotite in shades of dark gray and black.
Unlike veined marbles such as Calacatta, Ceara offers an extremely homogeneous “granular” texture, which gives surfaces a solid, clean and rigorous appearance. This isotropic texture (which does not follow a precise direction) makes it perfect for large coatings where chromatic continuity is sought without abrupt graphic interruptions. It is the ideal stone for modern and functional architecture, capable of combining the prestige of Brazilian natural stone with a design versatility that ranges from luxury residential to large public works.
Technically, Ceara stands out for its excellent mechanical performance, typical of Brazilian granites. It has a high hardness, located between 6 and 7 on the Mohs scale, which makes it extremely resistant to scratches, wear and compression. Being a stone with very low porosity and not calcareous, it is highly resistant to food acids (lemon, vinegar) and stains, unlike traditional marbles. The glossy finish is the one that most enhances the brilliance of the quartz crystals, making the surface reflective and vitreous. The flamed or brushed finish, on the other hand, is highly appreciated for outdoor applications or for interiors with a more material look, as it guarantees non-slip properties while maintaining a pleasant naturalness to the touch.
