Calacatta Arni is a natural stone with exceptional character, known for the sharp, dramatic contrast between its ice-white background and its particularly bold veining. Unlike Altissimo, which is more fluid and subdued, Arni often has wider, more branched veins, ranging from anthracite grey to very dark forest green, sometimes flowing into purple or brownish tones.
The uniqueness of this marble lies in its dense, “nervous” texture, where the veins intertwine to create natural geometric patterns with a strong visual impact. This variety captures the most authentic and primordial essence of the mountain, offering an aesthetic that moves away from pure minimalism to embrace a more material, almost sculptural luxury. Each slab is a powerful composition, capable of giving a sense of depth and movement to spaces, making it perfect for those who want a material that is both noble and capable of telling a story of geological strength through its bold textures.
Calacatta Arni is a fine-grained carbonate marble that responds very well to polishing, which enhances the depth of its dark veins. It has a compact structure, although the richness of the veins may require specific craftsmanship during cutting and installation to ensure perfect continuity of the pattern. Like all fine Carrara marbles, it is sensitive to acids and requires water and oil repellent treatments to protect the white background from potential stains, preserving the colour contrast that makes it unique.
