Technical characteristics

Breccia di Stazzema is a metamorphic limestone marble characterised by a heterogeneous structure, typical of breccia rocks, which requires expert processing to enhance its compactness. Its surface responds magnificently to mirror polishing, which accentuates the chromatic depth and shine of the individual fragments. Being a calcareous material, it is sensitive to acids and requires protective water- and oil-repellent treatments to prevent stains and preserve the integrity of the colours over time, especially when laid in areas with high foot traffic or humidity.
