New Imperial is one of the most renowned, widespread and appreciated red granites in the world, mined in the large mining basins of the state of Rajasthan, India. It represents one of the pillars of international stone architecture, celebrated for its vivid color and extraordinary structural homogeneity.
Visually, it is characterized by a dense background in shades of bright ruby red and scarlet red, densely and uniformly dotted with very small crystals of red potassium feldspar, translucent gray quartz, and dots of biotite and black hornblende. This medium-fine grain size gives the surface a compact, glassy appearance with a great chromatic impact.
Geologically it is a siliceous intrusive igneous rock (silica granite). Being composed predominantly of silicates, quartz and feldspars, it is a completely acid-fast material and does NOT react with food and chemical acids (such as lemon, vinegar, wine or deep cleaning detergents). It guarantees physical-mechanical performance at the top of the category: exceptional resistance to heavy trampling abrasion, impact, nipping, direct heat and extreme frosts. It has almost no surface porosity and impeccable UV-chromatic seal over time.
– kitchen countertops and countertops: thanks to its total imperviousness to food acids, heat resistance and scratches, it is a primary choice for islands, bar counters and intensive kitchen tops.
– high-traffic pavements and exteriors: choice of choice for internal and external pavements in contexts subject to heavy pedestrian traffic (airports, stations, shopping centers, squares and galleries).
– ventilated facades and exterior cladding: widely used for cladding executive building facades, skirting boards and upholstery thanks to its absolute frostiness.
– bathroom and vanity top rooms: ideal for vanity tops, shower trays and vertical upholstery that are easy to maintain and sanitize.
