Juparanà Bordeaux is a famous and iconic veined granite of Brazilian origin, mined in the renowned mining basins of the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Recognized in contemporary architecture and international interior design for its unmistakable wave pattern, it is part of the famous Juparaná granite family, renowned for their chromatic dynamism and excellent structural properties.
Visually, it has a sinuous and highly eventful texture: on a basic background in cream, beige, ivory and antique pink tones, broad fluid veins and wavy bands develop in shades of red, terracotta, brick, quartz grey and black. This characteristic “river” pattern gives the surface a great three-dimensionality and a unique pictorial appearance in each slab.
Geologically it is a siliceous metamorphic/magmatic rock (orthogneiss/silica migmatite). Compositionally very rich in quartz, feldspars and micas, it is a completely acid-fast material and does NOT react with food and chemical acids (such as lemon, vinegar, wine or deep cleaning detergents). It guarantees physical-mechanical performance of the highest level: high resistance to trampling abrasion, impact, scratches, heat and frost action. It has very low porosity and excellent chromatic-UV stability when exposed to atmospheric agents.
– countertops and countertops: thanks to its absolute unassailability from food acids, resistance to high temperatures and scratches, it is a primary choice for islands, bar counters and intensive kitchen tops.
– accent walls and bookmatch compositions: the strongly veined and wavy movement makes it perfect for full-height mirrored installations on scenic walls in salons, lobbies and reception areas.
– high-traffic flooring and exteriors: ideal for interior and exterior flooring in residential and commercial settings related to heavy traffic, as well as for facade cladding.
– bathroom and vanity top rooms: used for vanity tops, shower trays and vertical upholstery with a high esthetic impact and easy maintenance.
