Jacaranda is one of the most fascinating, warm, and scenic veined red granites of Brazilian origin, mined in the rich mining basins of the state of Bahia, Brazil. Appreciated in interior design and international contemporary architecture for its chromatic vivacity, it takes its name from the famous exotic wood whose rich warm and enveloping hues it recalls.
Visually, it is distinguished by a fluid and lively texture: against a rich background in tones of copper red, brick, salmon pink and burgundy, sinuous veins and mineral waves develop in tones of chocolate brown, quartz grey, cream and black. This rhythmic alternation of light and dark bands gives each slab a strong dynamism and a deep visual harmony.
Geologically it is a siliceous intrusive/migmatitic magmatic rock (veined siliceous granite). Compositionally very rich in quartz and feldspars, it is a completely acid-fast material and does NOT react with food and chemical acids (such as lemon, vinegar, wine, or deep cleaning detergents). It guarantees first-rate physical-mechanical performance: high resistance to trampling abrasion, scratches, impacts, direct heat and frost. It boasts an extremely low water absorption rate and excellent color stability when exposed to UV rays. It stands out beautifully with the mirror-polished finish, but also offers an extraordinary sensory and material effect with brushing (leather effect) and sanding.
– countertops and countertops: thanks to its absolute unassailability from food acids, resistance to high temperatures and ease of cleaning, it is a primary choice for islands, bar counters and fine kitchen tops.
– accent walls and bookmatch compositions: the pronounced fluid grain makes it a stone of choice for mirrored installations on the scenic walls of salons, hotel lobbies and reception areas.
– luxury interior flooring and cladding: ideal for interior and exterior floors subject to heavy traffic, as well as vertical cladding and stair treads.
– bathroom and vanity top rooms: successfully used for furnishing vanity tops, accent shower walls and easy-to-maintain wellness area coverings.
