Capao Bonito is a renowned and aesthetically impressive natural granite historically quarried in the mining basins of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It is considered one of the most appreciated South American red granites in the international architectural panorama for its combination of great chromatic strength and top-level physical-mechanical performance.
Visually, it is characterized by a medium-coarse and grainy texture with a bright red, brick red and terrakotta background, densely interspersed with crystals of potassium feldspar, translucent quartz and micro-inclusions of black biotite and hornblende. The constant contrast between the red feldspathic matrix and the dark mineralizations gives the surface a lively, uniform texture of great material character.
Geologically it is an intrusive magmatic rock (silica granite). Being composed predominantly of quartz and feldspars, it is a totally acid-resistant material and is not sensitive to food and chemical acids (such as lemon, vinegar, corrosive substances or acidic detergents). It offers exceptional mechanical properties: very high resistance to abrasion, scratches, impact and compression, combined with marked frostiness and very low water absorption. It maintains its physical and chromatic characteristics unchanged even when exposed to aggressive atmospheric agents and UV rays. It responds perfectly to mirror polishing, as well as outdoor finishes such as flaming, sandblasting, bushbrushing and brushing.

– ventilated facades and exterior cladding: widely used in contemporary architecture for facade cladding, padding, skirting, and cornices due to its total resistance to frost and atmospheric degradation.
– bathroom and wellness rooms: perfect for vanity tops, shower liners and flooring that are easy to maintain and clean.
