Technical characteristics of Grigio Carnico

From a technical point of view, Grigio Carnico is a calcareous marble characterised by remarkable compactness and frost resistance superior to many other marbles, properties deriving from its formation in the harsh climatic conditions of the Friulian Alps. It has a hardness typical of marbles and, despite being an acid-sensitive carbonate material, its dense structure and variegated color offer good wear resistance. While the polished finish enhances the depth and whiteness of the grain, the polished (matte) or brushed (leather) version gives the stone a more natural and tactile appearance, ideal for welcoming atmospheres.
