Technical characteristics of Grafite

From a technical point of view, Grafite is a calcareous marble of good compactness that has a medium-low porosity, a characteristic that makes it more resistant to stains than softer white marbles, while remaining a material of calcareous origin sensitive to acids such as lemon or vinegar. Its hardness is typical of marbles, ranging between 3 and 4 on the Mohs scale, which is why it requires particular attention to scratches in areas subject to heavy wear. The finishes that best enhance its soul range from the smooth matte to the brushed version that accentuates the stone’s materiality making the surface slightly uneven and pleasant to the touch, up to the sandblasted finish, ideal for outdoors or humid areas thanks to its excellent non-slip seal.
