Bardiglio Carrara – gray marble of natural origin

Bardiglio Carrara is one of the most emblematic marble varieties of the Apuan district in Tuscany, extracted in the same famous quarries that provide the most famous white marbles in the world. Aesthetically, it has an ash grey or cerulean background, characterised by a cloudy and semi-transparent texture that gives it a unique visual depth.

Unlike darker varieties, Bardiglio Carrara tends to maintain medium hues, furrowed by a network of darker, almost black veins, which blend with thin white filaments. This stone embodies the perfect balance between the solidity of the grey colour and the dynamism of veined marble, offering a less severe aesthetic than the Bardiglio Cappella but more decisive than the Bardiglietto. It is an extremely appreciated material for its versatility, capable of giving a touch of classic and timeless elegance to interior projects ranging from historical recovery to urban minimalism, acting as an ideal chromatic connecting element between statuary white and darker tones.
