Italian Antracite, often identified with the prestigious Pietra di Lavagna (slate) or certain varieties of Granito Nero Presolana, epitomises the understated and rigorous design typical of Italy’s quarrying tradition. This stone is distinguished by an intense smoky grey colour that fades into absolute black, evoking a timeless architectural elegance.
Its surface is characterised by a silky texture and an extremely fine grain which, in the Ligurian variety, may feature a typical natural flaking that creates unique plays of light and shadow.
