Technical characteristics of Paradiso

Geologically, it is a migmatite (a highly metamorphosed rock, commercially classified as granite) characterised by an exceptionally dense and compact crystalline structure. Composed largely of quartz and feldspars, it boasts extraordinary physical properties: its surface hardness makes it virtually immune to scratches, abrasion from constant foot traffic and accidental impacts. It has infinitesimal internal porosity, ensuring excellent natural impermeability that prevents the absorption of water, oils and fats, thereby averting the risk of stains. As a silicate stone, it is completely chemically inert, protecting it from attack by acidic foodstuffs (such as vinegar, lemon or cola), and is extremely resistant to thermal shock, frost and UV rays, maintaining its lustre both indoors and outdoors.
