Armani Brown is, to all intents and purposes, a Turkish marble, sourced from Turkey’s rich and renowned quarries. Turkey is famous in the stone industry for its earth-coloured marbles, and this material is one of the finest examples, internationally acclaimed for its consistent colour.
Visually, it features a deep, dark brown background that is incredibly compact and uniform, reminiscent of dark chocolate. What sets this Turkish marble apart is the purity of its pattern: the dark background is adorned only by extremely fine, spiderweb-like veins in white, ivory or light beige, which run discreetly across the slab without ever appearing intrusive. This aesthetic rigour and the complete absence of large patches of colour give it an almost ‘minimalist’ and bespoke elegance.
Geologically, it is a fine-grained calcareous marble, renowned for its excellent structural strength, which allows large slabs to be cut with very few natural flaws. It responds spectacularly to mirror polishing, which further darkens its background and enhances the contrast with the white micro-veins. In contemporary design trends, it is also highly prized in a brushed (‘leather’) finish, which softens the reflections and gives the stone a matt, velvety texture, similar to leather. As it is a marble, it is best suited for interior use.
