Golden Travertine is a fine and elegant natural porous limestone quarried in the renowned mining basins of Iran, Turkey and in historic quarries in central Italy (such as the Lazio and Tuscan districts). It is celebrated in fine architecture for the distinct sunshine of its warm hues and its timeless aesthetic value.
Visually, it has a rich background in golden yellow, honey and ochre tones, crossed by parallel streaks or soft clouds in cream, hazelnut and rust tones. Depending on the cutting orientation of the block – pitched (vein cut, with smooth and parallel veins) or counterfidious (cross cut, with a flowery and clouded motif) – it offers distinct aesthetic solutions with a strong scenographic impact.
Geologically it is a calcareous sedimentary rock with a carbonate matrix, formed by the precipitation of calcium carbonate. It has the classic vacuolar texture with natural pores and cavities, which can be left open (for material and rustic effects) or filled with transparent resins, mastics or cement. Being a rock of carbonate nature, it is sensitive to food acids (such as lemon, vinegar and wine) and requires suitable hydro-oil-repellent treatments when applied in areas subject to stains or intensive wear.

– bathroom and wellness rooms: ideal for shower liners, solid sinks and bathroom countertops (subject to appropriate grouting and protective sealing).

– custom elements: used for the creation of chimney frames, stairways, thresholds, windowsills and entrance portals.
