Giallo Florence is a fine natural granite quarried in the renowned quarries of the state of Bahia, Brazil. Recognized in interior architecture for its warm, enveloping appearance, it combines warm South American solar hues with high structural strength.
Visually, it is distinguished by a background that varies from golden beige to creamy yellow, enriched by a soft movement of veining and soft shades in shades of brown, quartz grey, hazelnut and black. Its medium-coarse and well-balanced texture gives the surfaces depth and visual continuity, avoiding strong chromatic breaks.
Geologically, it is an intrusive igneous rock with a granitic (quartz-feldspathic) composition, formed by the slow cooling of magmas at high depths. Its predominantly silicate matrix makes it chemically inert and completely immune to the attack of food acids. It has almost no porosity, minimal water absorption, and exceptional resistance to abrasion, frost, UV rays, and high-traffic trampling.
