Royal Celadon is a natural stone of extraordinary elegance and exoticism, extracted mainly from geological deposits in Brazil. It owes its evocative name to the characteristic “celadon” shade (a pale green-grey and jade, typical of ancient oriental ceramics), but it fits right into neutral and warm chromatic selections thanks to its sophisticated balance of earthy tones.
Visually, it has a fluid and sinuous aesthetic. The surface is characterized by a gradient background in which sage green, ash gray, beige and hazelnut blend, furrowed by elegant longitudinal veins in shades of bronze brown, copper and quartz white. This soft wave design gives the stone a relaxing, organic look and great contemporary refinement.
Geologically classified as a quartzite (or a granite with a very high quartz content), Royal Celadon combines delicate aesthetic beauty with top-notch mechanical performance. The metamorphic transformation of its crystalline structure gives it extraordinary compactness and hardness.
It offers very high resistance to surface scratches, continuous trampling abrasion and mechanical impacts. Its internal porosity is extremely low, which results in almost no water absorption rate and natural impermeability against stains of oils, fats and food liquids. Being a predominantly silicate material, it boasts total chemical inertia: it does not fear the attack of acidic substances (such as lemon, vinegar or wine) and does not lose its original luster.
