Terra Brazil - red quartzite of natural origin

Technical characteristics of Terra Brazil

Geologically it is an intrusive/metamorphic magmatic rock (granite or quartzite) with a predominantly silicate composition (quartz, feldspars and micas). As a strictly silicate matrix material with no carbonate components, it does not react to food or household acids (such as lemon, vinegar, wine, juices or common detergents) and is not subject to acid attack opacification. It has a very high hardness (Mohs scale 6–7), exceptional resistance to abrasion, scratches and thermal shock, together with a very low liquid absorption rate. For maximum protection against oily or stubborn stains, an ordinary protective water-oil-repellent seal is recommended.
