Technical characteristics of Blue Roma

Geologically it is a metamorphic rock (quartzite) with a predominantly silicate composition (quartz and accessory minerals). As a strictly silicate matrix material with no carbonate components, it does not react to food or household acids (such as lemon, vinegar, wine, juices or common detergents) and is not subject to acid attack opacification. It has a very high hardness (Mohs scale 7), exceptional resistance to abrasion, scratches, wear and thermal shock, combined with an extremely low liquid absorption rate.
