Multicolor Red Classico – red granite of natural origin

Multicolor Red Classico is one of the most famous, historic and appreciated veined red granites in the world, mined mainly in the renowned mining basins of the state of Karnataka, India. Recognized in international architecture for its unmistakable chromatic movement, it represents one of the great classics of natural stone for applications of high strength and elegance.

Visually, it features a fluid, sinuous wave pattern: against a dense background in shades of deep red, burgundy red, and terracotta, broad wavy bands and dynamic veining in shades of black, charcoal gray, dark purple, and translucent quartz unfold. This rhythmic pattern gives the surface a marked visual depth and great personality.

Technical characteristics of Multicolor Red Classico

Geologically it is a siliceous metamorphic/magmatic rock (silica migmatite/silica gneiss). Compositionally very rich in quartz, feldspars and micas, it is a totally acid-fast material and does NOT react with food and chemical acids (such as lemon, vinegar, wine or acidic deep cleaning detergents). It guarantees exceptional physical-mechanical performance: very high resistance to trampling wear, impact, scratches, heat and frost action. It boasts extremely low porosity and impeccable color stability when exposed to UV rays.

Applications in design

– countertops and countertops: thanks to its total imperviousness to food acids and its extremely high thermal resistance and scratches, it is a choice of choice for islands, bar counters and intensive kitchen tops.

– high-traffic flooring and exteriors: a top-notch choice for interior and exterior flooring in high-traffic pedestrian environments (stations, shopping centers, plazas, business lobbies).

– ventilated facades and exterior cladding: widely used for facade cladding, padding and skirting due to its absolute resistance to weathering and greasiness.

– accent walls and bookmatch compositions: the marked fluid grain allows for the creation of striking mirrored compositions on scenographic walls.
