The Golden Wave is a scenic and eclectic natural granite quarried mainly in the well-known quarries of Brazil. It owes its name to the dynamic and sinuous design of its minerals, which draw the fluid and elegant flow of sea waves on the slabs.
Visually, it is characterized by an overwhelming movement of veins and streaks that alternate golden yellow, cream, and amber in fluid bands in shades of quartz gray, burnt brown, hazelnut, and black. The clearly oriented trend and the richness of chromatic-material give the surfaces a very strong visual impact, profound three-dimensionality and great naturalness.
Geologically it is an intrusive igneous rock with a granitic composition (quartz-feldspathic), characterised by a marked foliated or veined texture. Its silicate matrix makes it chemically inert and completely unassailable by food acids (such as vinegar, lemon and wine). It boasts extremely low porosity, almost zero water absorption and exceptional resistance to abrasion, scratches, heat, frost and UV rays, ensuring unalterable performance both indoors and outdoors.
