Imperial Gold is a valuable metamorphic limestone (marble) quarried in Egypt’s well-known quarries (mainly in the Sinai Peninsula region and the Menia area). It is highly appreciated for its enveloping aesthetic and its characteristic color that recalls the warm hues of the desert. Visually, it has a bright background ranging from deep yellow to golden and warm beige, enriched by an irregular texture of stylolites, thin veins and small fossil or mineral inclusions in shades of hazelnut brown and dark hazelnut. This extraordinary chromatic richness gives the slabs a unique depth, capable of elegantly enhancing both classical architecture and contemporary spaces. The visual softness of the surface, typical of Egyptian limestones, is best expressed through smooth or brushed workings, capable of enhancing its natural materiality. It is an ideal stylistic choice for those who want warm and bright environments.
Geologically it is a carbonate sedimentary rock (lime/marble) with a prevalence of calcite with iron oxides that give the golden notes. Unlike granites, like all marbles and chalcolites it has a structure sensitive to the direct action of food acids (lemon, vinegar, wine) and requires specific protective treatments (hydro-oleorepellents) based on its use. It has an excellent aesthetic rendering with polished, sanded, brushed, sandblasted or bocciardate finishes.

– bathroom elements: used for covering shower walls, vertical surfaces and vanity tops (subject to surface protection).

– external applications: used in non-slip finishes (sandblasted or bocciardate) for facade cladding, porticoes and decorative walkways.
