Calacatta Oro is a marble characterized by a warm, silky milky white background, furrowed by broad, sinuous veins that vary from ash gray to yellow gold, reaching warm amber hues. Unlike Classic Calacatta, where gray predominates, in Gold Calacatta the presence of iron minerals gives golden textures that seem to capture and retain sunlight inside the stone.
This color combination creates a less cold and more welcoming contrast, making each plate a natural work of art capable of infusing prestige and warmth into any space. It is the material of choice for the highest level of interior design, loved for its ability to perfectly dialogue with precious metals such as brass and bronze, or with precious wooden essences, transforming the space into an example of timeless elegance.
From a technical point of view, Calacatta Oro is a fine-grained limestone marble of exceptional quality, with a hardness typical of Carrara marbles located between 3 and 4 on the Mohs scale. Although it is a compact and durable stone, its carbonate nature makes it sensitive to food acids (lemon, vinegar) and requires attention to scratches in areas subject to heavy wear.
